Libyan Makarona - مكرونة

Easy & delicious traditional Libyan pasta dish


1 small onion, chopped
3 spoons of tomato paste
some fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper & turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon helba (fenugreek)
lamb chunks (can also be made with beef, chicken or meatless, just add some chickpeas)
1 1/2 litres of boiling water
4 cups of dry pasta

  1. Sounds tasty. Must be the Libyan version of a macaroni recipe. I'd eat that.
